76. Hind ke Qaumi Wakeel.—
Attorney-General for India.—

76(1). Sadar e Jamhuriya ek aese shakhs ko Hind ke Qaumi Wakeel mukarrar karenge jo Adaalat e Uzma me Qaazi mukarrar kiye jaane ke aehl ho.
The President shall appoint a person who is qualified to be appointed a Judge of the Supreme Court to be Attorney-General for India.

76(2). Ye Qaumi Wakeel par farz hoga ke wo Hukumat e Hind ko aese qaanuuni ma’amlaat me apni raae de, aur aese digar faraaez ki ta’amil kare jo qaanuuni nauiyyat ke hou, jinhe Sadar e Jamhuriya ne waqt ba waqt oonke saamne madde nazar kiya ho ya oonhe saupa ho, aur aese a’amaal ki takmeel kare jo is Aain ya kisi digar maujudaah qaanuun ke zariye oonpar aaed kiye gaye hou.
It shall be the duty of the Attorney-General to give advice to the Government of India upon such legal matters, and to perform such other duties of a legal character, as may from time to time be referred or assigned to him by the President, and to discharge the functions conferred on him by or under this Constitution or any other law for the time being in force.

76(3). Oonke faraaez ki takmeel ke dauraan Qaumi Wakeel ko Sarzamiin e Hind ki tamaam adaalaat me dalaail ka haq hoga.
In the performance of his duties the Attorney-General shall have right of audience in all courts in the territory of India.

76(4). Qaumi Wakeel apne ohde par tab tak hi qaayam rahenge jab tak ke Sadar e Jamhuriya ki raza ho, aur oonhe aesa muaawaza ada kiya jaayega jaesa ke Sadar e Jamhuriya mutayyin kare.
The Attorney-General shall hold office during the pleasure of the President, and shall receive such remuneration as the President may determine.
